Tasmania is a “pilot state", Madeline Ogilvie MP hopes to attract more businesses with its “statistically valid population where you can test things and get good answers and then roll them out nationally”.
She also highlighted that the University of Tasmania operates six radio telescopes in Australia, "strategically located to observe objects in polar orbits when they are not visible in the United States".
She mentioned that the radio network collaborated with the Square Kilometer Array, NASA, SpaceX, Australian telecommunications companies, and the German space object tracking company HENSOLDT.
