US Cloud Agreement - Safety By Design

​​​​​​​​​On 15 December 2021, Australia signed the Agreement between the Government of Australia and the Government of the United States of America on Access to Electronic Data for the Purpose of Countering Serious Crime. Since 2016 the pivot to Asia has included, the Australian Government commit to law enforcement and national security agencies having appropriate scope language and tools to implement 'safety by design'. 'Safety by design' is a term E-Safety Commissioner Julie Inman Grant introduced into Australia, supported by Home Affairs MP Clare O'Neil, classified taskforces inside National Cabinet and the Signatory Group setup within the Digital Industry Group Inc.

Deloitte Australia is sponsoring the first Australian Oracle Cloud Apps User Group, hosted in the Deloitte office in Melbourne on May 12th, 2022 on the topic "How Innovative Local Governments are using Oracle Service Cloud to increase Citizen Engagement".

Accenture Australia support Australian Oracle User Group and hosted the event on the topic "Oracle Embedded Analytics".

Australia's cyber security agency will pay Deloitte $17.3 million to facilitate a threat sharing platform they helped to build. The Australian Signals Directorate, hosts the Australian Cyber Security Centre which maintains the Cyber Threat Intelligence Sharing platform. The service, which was co-designed with industry to gather intelligence from government with registered partners.

Australian Defence has declared the need for fast tracked cloud capability to handle data, defined as classified, Canberra- based Vault Cloud signed a $3.1 million contract with Defence in October last year. Since the big 4 consulting companies have been in the spot light for conflict of interest, the proxy companies to build the value transfer system have had a redesign. Vault Cloud announced their partnership with Protiviti, a global consulting firm with deep expertise in large enterprise cloud transformation projects for government and the private sector. The Future Fund Management Agency announced this week, they will upgrade to a workday platform, awarding the $9.8 million contract to Accenture.

To be clear all cloud services no matter what proxy presents them, go through these avenues. US cloud provider Oracle announced a new cloud region in Canberra to one day host Defence and Government data. Oracle has won nearly $1.2 billion in federal contracts in the last ten years, frame the need for "sovereign cloud services'. The theatre of Microsoft dropping out of the tender process with the Office of National Intelligence last year is to create the illusion of competition.
